Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry. For over 200 years, the group’s business has played a vital role in supporting the growth, development and welfare of modern society.
Headquartered in Trieste, Generali Group is Italy’s largest insurer and currently the third largest in the world.

A reliable partner for a cutting-edge digital strategy

Although Generali has years of real-world experience, the internet has recently become the company’s most important communications tool. To keep users engaged and online, Generali was looking to develop a new, visually-dynamic interface, combining rich multimedia with the most up-to-date techniques in creative storytelling, connecting the company’s activities to the real-life experiences of online visitors. At its core, Generali needed underlying functionality built upon the latest content and document management techniques, combined with unrivalled user interface design.

To meet these complex requirements, the solution provided had to include a powerful technological platform, a best-in-class software development team and an innovative, strategic digital partner. Tinext combines all three elements with the timeless business values of trust and dependability, making it an ideal, low-risk partner able to exceed Generali’s expectations.

After an initial testing phase of different CMS options, Generali chose Magnolia as its new web platform, with Tinext as the lead systems integrator, guiding the insurance company through the challenges with a strong, confident consulting-driven approach

On the web portal side, Tinext integrated the new site with SOLR (Generali’s powerful company-wide search engine) and CONSOB (the Italian Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange) and expanded the document management system so users have all the info they need at the click of a mouse. The sophisticated media centre now makes it possible to send users more of the content they actually want to see, adding document tags and rich media, customised with dynamic appearances depending on where each item is to be placed on the site. Last but certainly not least, Tinext added interactive calendaring and the ability for journalists, analysts and investors to subscribe to regular updates.

With such intricate, bespoke solutions, Generali.com was even ranked as the best European insurance website in the 19th edition of Webranking by Comprend - FT Europe 500.

We needed a partner that understood Magnolia as a technology: not just what it does, but what it can be made to do. With previous experience of digital transformation in the financial sector, Tinext was clearly the right choice.
